Strathmore University’s AHEAD Hub Launches AI-ECHO Africa Healthcare Programme

Strathmore University has launched the AI-ECHO Programme, Integrating AI Applications in Pediatric Care Settings ECHO Programme, a training programme for primary healthcare workers in paediatrics, aimed at strengthening their capacity to apply artificial intelligence in pediatric care settings.

The programme is being implemented through the Strathmore University AHEAD Hub in collaboration with the ECHO Institute at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. It adapts the Project ECHO hub-and-spoke model to connect AI experts and clinicians with healthcare professionals in primary healthcare facilities through virtual, case-based learning and mentorship.
